The Partnership for Affordable Housing is very pleased to announce the appointment of Cheryl Moyer as Program Administrator. Cheryl, currently Deputy Director of Community Networks, Inc., has represented CNI on the PAH board of directors for the past several years. She will assume her new duties with the Partnership in July.
Cheryl brings a wealth of housing experience to PAH. She began her career at the Housing Authority of Washington County, Maryland, where she was involved with the development of elderly public housing, administration of Section 8 subsidized housing, and a county-wide housing rehabilitation program. She went on to direct the Washington County Community Action Council, where she developed shelter for the homeless, rental subsidy programs, transitional housing, a maintenance and repair program, and housing counseling services. Later, as Deputy WV State Director at the Telemon Corporation, she worked with the US Department of Agriculture’s self-help home-building program, HUD funded transitional housing, and the rehabilitation of housing for veterans. Most recently, as Deputy Director of Community Networks, Inc., Cheryl has managed the Jefferson County Leasing Program, which provides permanent supportive housing to homeless persons.
Cheryl says, “My passion is in creating and developing relationships that result in tangible services to people in need. It is essential through changing political climates to maintain strong working relationships with many community leaders and providers. It has been most rewarding to open their eyes to the less fortunate and the working poor. I believe that the Partnership for Affordable Housing is the right place for me to exercise my skills and passion.”
The Partnership looks forward to working with Cheryl in her new role as Administrator to advance its mission of ensuring safe and affordable housing through advocacy, education, and the development of housing resources.
